Class Etiquette for Yoga Classes |
What to wear? Something comfy eg t-shirt, sports or exercise top and cropped pants or leggings. Bring something warm to put on or cover up with during savasana (relaxation) and maybe a towel and bottle of water. The class is done barefoot unless there is a medical reason. |
Jewellery: Take off large pieces of jewellery and long dangly earrings, necklaces and bracelets. Hair: If your hair is long or falls across your face it's more comfortable during class if it's tied back |
Do I need any special equipment? If you have your own mat and other yoga "props" we encourage you top bring them. If not, we can provide the equipment needed for new students. All the equipment provided is thoroughly cleaned after each use. You may like to bring your own throw or light blanket for relaxation. We usually have mats, eye pillows and other props for sale and can advise you on what to buy. |
What if I'm late?
If you arrive just after the class has started, don't worry. Come in quietly, find a space or mat, pop your things to one side,
take a few steady, deep breaths and join in when you're ready. |
